Cynthia Nzuki is a legal researcher specializing in intellectual property law and artificial intelligence governance. She currently serves as a Research Associate at the Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law (CIPIT), where she supports research, policy development, and public engagement on intellectual property (IP) and emerging technologies in Africa, such as artificial intelligence (AI).
Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Strathmore University and has completed CopyrightX course administered by Harvard Law School; and PatentX courses administered by Harvard Law School in partnership with WIPO Academy, as well as advanced courses in Intellectual Property at the WIPO Academy and certification in Project Management. She is currently enrolled at the Africa University, where she is undertaking her Master's Degree in Intellectual Property Law. Cynthia is passionate about advancing inclusive, accessible, and innovation driven IP and AI systems in the Global South.
