Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law (CIPIT), Strathmore University, the Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property (PIJIP), American University Washington College of Law and EIFL, in cooperation with the Kenya Copyright Board (KECOBO) have organized a workshop titled “Promoting Access to Knowledge and the Right to Research”. The workshop will include presentations and discussions by Intellectual Property (IP) stakeholders from academia, the legal, policy, and regulatory fields, as well as civil society representatives. Discussion topics will include teaching and learning in the digital age, the right to research and copyright law, education and copyright, and the Kenyan copyright limitations and exceptions. We will also launch a practical guide for librarians on implementing the Marrakesh Treaty.
