This session explored the progress, challenges, and opportunities in developing national AI strategies across African countries. It highlighted the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to the development of AI governance structures. Panelists and participants also highlighted case studies from nations with advanced AI roadmaps and discuss policy gaps that must be addressed.
